Dancing gleefully in circles while waving arms like an idiot

I recalculated finances and time and girlfriend's plans and figured that I can indeed visit the southern desert this summer for about a week. I had initially given up on the idea this year but now it is going to come to fruition. My lady is going camping for a week with her daughter for a mother/daughter connect thing. This leaves me free to head for the Amargosa. One target destination I am looking at is the hotel in Nipton, Ca. Nipton sits in a beautiful little valley full of joshua trees where I could lounge around with cold beers and surf the Inet all day and hike the desert in mornings and evenings. Could anything be better? I am open to ideas though. Anyone know of an inexpensive motel with wifi that sits right in the desert? Must be in the Mojave or Nevada. Arizona and New Mexico are too far away to fit the budget.

Boy a hotel in Nipton. Been there a lot and I can't remember there ever being a hotel there. A few rooms to stay in. And a sign that says best burgers in the area, of course it's the only food in the area anyway. Nice place though. Want to stay near there then go to the Primm at Stateline. It's close and has everything your looking for including a cheap room rate. We won more money at the Primm than at any other casino in the Southwest. Addition: The Primm casino hotel is on I 15 right at the border of Nevada and Ca.

Boy I finally got a chance to look at the link Jim from DUSA listed in his post and it's very interesting. Didn't know that much went on there. Driving thru there now (we always go that way on the way to Utah, State Line, and Vegas) you'd never know it. Take a look!
