I think this probably worked best on the older, heavy cars. I remember when I was a kid my dad used to wrap a fish in foil and attach it to someplace under the hood of our old Ford wagon and we'd have a picnic somewhere. We were like gypsies!

I remember my mom cooking roadkill on a tiny white gas burner and swiping corn out of fields to have with it! Living off the land!
