The walls inside are very soft. If you brake off a chunk you can crumble that chunk in your hands into small 1/4 inch gravel.

HAHAHA I am almost never carefull but I am cautious. I found another possible hidden shaft about 1/2 a mile from this tunnel. I followed ducks from the tunnel to the possible shaft. I am going to uncover it this holiday season. From the small hill that is the tailing pile it might be fairly deep.

Lots of good solid indicators of something important there Kurt.
Beats the he-- out of the "Google Earth" and "I read about it in a Story" or the "I saw it in a dream" kind of prospecting!

If I am not mistaken... I think you might even be able to file a mining claim in that area if it turns out to be something good.
