I am hoping this will encourage Paul to finally break loose, with some of his own Photos and adventures "Chasing the Legend".
I know he has been out there, but he sure has been awful "Tight lipped" about his trips!
He must at least have some trips where he didn't locate any gold that he could talk about!
We have a lot of far away members of this forum, that are "Living the Legend" vicariously through our short stories posted here. For some of them, this is the only look they will ever have of the Superstition Mountains.

Re: Welcome to the DUSA Moderator Team Cubfan
Jim and Paul:
This weekend I will receive a personal blessing from an Ethiopian Orthodox Bishop as part of an elaborate ceremony that will mark the beginning of "hosanna" as well as the incorporation of a bell that I fabricated, as a favor to the Priest of the local congregation. Although I have not been invited to the service, I have been invited to be the guest of honor at a banquet to be held on May 5th.
I'll hold off until after the dinner to write something up about the experience and post it here with some pics. These people really take their religion and beliefs seriously.
Some interesting info about them and the Arc of the Covenant can be found at:

Congratulations SH,
Let's get right out into the Mtns and see if we can find Jesse Capen before that Blessing wears off!
Arc of the Covenant eh? I can't wait to see how Roy and Beth sink their teeth into that one!

The site I posted the link to has most of the ARC stories and known history in the writeup.
Interesting stuff.I've been getting an earful from the priest as well.
They consider these bells to be extremely holy once consecrated.
(They had me paint my full name on the inside of the bell)
Thats a good omen,I think.
