I saw your 3 Mar post about still snowing. Bummer. I was living at my son's place in S/E CO, Las Animas. After The blizzards of 06 I vowed to not winter in CO again. I like it here in Arkansas, lived here befor. It just mkes my trips to CA and the desert longer. Being retired, it's still a doable thing though. Hope you enjoy your time here.

Nice photos. I make it up to Chama occasionally to visit relatives. I'm might be asking for advice about places to photograph. Anyway, I've invited you to join the Desert Photographers group if you are interested.

    Perdenal Peak

Wednesday, March 26, 2008, 07:49 AM MST [General]

Hiked up on an old volcanic tube called Perdenal peak with my house guest, Paul, to find the large outcropping of agate.  We found some very nice red, black, white, and a little blue agate.
