Hello! Here I am out in the Anza-Borrego Desert again, this time looking at flowers. I went there about a week ago and it was great. There's lots of flowers out there when I went and I didn't have to drive off on a dirt road or anything. There was plenty to look at around the visitor's center. I will try to post some more pictures over the next few blogs First, here I am amongst the flowers near the Palm Canyon Campground:
This is just a short blurb. Today, there was rain in our local deserts and snow in the mountains. This storm is quite a suprise. I plan to go to the Anza-Borrego in a couple of weeks and see if there are any flowers coming out due to these storms.
Hi! This is my first post on this site and I'm quite excited. I love Desert USA and hope that this will be fun. Now, I have another blog and other sites that I write on, so I don't expect to do a blog a day. But, I hope to write here often.
My favorite areas of the desert are around the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park area, but I also really like Coachella Valley. I also live near a large natural urban park in San Diego called Mission Trails Park, perhaps I'll post a few pictures of that place from now and then.
In any case, I'm glad to meet everyone and hope to have a lot of fun here with other desert enthusiasts.
